Monday – Friday 7 AM – 5 PM $1/HR
Park for Free:
After 5 PM Monday – Friday
Weekends & Holidays
On-Street Parking:
$1.50/HR (except on State Street $2/HR) (8 AM -6 PM Weekdays)
Note: On-street parking managed by the City of Schenectady.
Two Ways to Pay
1. Pay-by-Plate Parking Meters
How it works:
The meters accept coins, cash ($1 and $5 bills), and credit cards.
Enter your license plate number, amount of time desired, and payment method.
A receipt is generated but it is not necessary to display the receipt on the car dashboard.

2. Passport Parking App:
How it Works:
Download the free app, (Android, iPhone).
Enter your zone number and confirm payment.
Enjoy the convenience of paying for and extending your parking session via smartphone.

Schenectady Municipal Parking Garage
The Schenectady Municipal Parking Garage is conveniently located at 407 Hamilton Street. Parking is $1/HR MON-FRI and free after 5 PM on weeknights, weekends, and holidays. Credit card payments ONLY accepted in the parking garage. Passport App payments not accepted in the garage. Monthly parking passes are available, click here for a monthly pass. Please note that monthly passes are subject to availability.
