Town of Glenville Wins 2017 Schenectady County Best Tasting Drinking Water Competition
(Schenectady County, NY) Congratulations to the Town of Glenville for winning the 2017 Best Tasting Drinking Water in Schenectady County competition, dethroning last year’s winner the Town of Niskayuna. The Town of Glenville will now go on to the regional competition in Albany and if successful, the State finals held at the New York State Fair in Syracuse.
“Congratulations Town of Glenville for taking the title Best Tasting Drinking Water in Schenectady County,” said Anthony Jasenski, Chairman of the Schenectady County Legislature. “Thank you to everyone who came down to be part of the competition and help choose the winner.”
The competition was held today, July 20, 2017 at the Farmers’ Market in downtown Schenectady. The downtown market is located on the corner of Jay Street and Franklin Street near City Hall. Visitors to the Farmers Market were invited to taste blind samples and vote for their top two favorites. Two points for a first place vote and one point for a second place vote were awarded.
