(Schenectady, NY) In 2013, the 2012 New York State Champion Town of Niskayuna retained their title for the best tasting drinking water in Schenectady County.   Will they three-peat in 2014 or lose their title to past New York State Champions City of Schenectady or Town of Rotterdam?  Find out Thursday, July 24, 2014 as local municipalities in Schenectady County do battle to determine who has the best tasting drinking water.   The winner will go on to the regional competition in Albany that evening and if successful, the State finals held at the New York State Fair in Syracuse.

“Schenectady County is proud to have some of the most popular and tastiest drinking water in New York State as evidenced by our State Champions Town of Niskayuna, City of Schenectady and Town of Rotterdam,” said Gary Hughes, Chair of the Schenectady County Legislature’s Committee on Economic Development and Planning.  “I encourage all of our residents to come down to the Famers Market to be the judge and choose who will represent Schenectady County in the Regional and State competitions.”
