Schenectady, N.Y., October 25, 2013 – Starting Monday October 28th lane restrictions will go into effect on Washington Avenue from Exit 4C of I-890 to State Street in both directions. This is the roadway that runs in front of Schenectady County Community College.
The travel lane closest to the existing median will be closed allowing work crews to prepare the area for installation of a new median.
The current 3 travel lanes will be limited to 2 lanes in both directions — northbound from Exit 4C of I-890 to Washington Avenue (heading towards State Street) and southbound from State Street to access I-890.
The new median is expected to be completed within three weeks weather permitting.
