Transfinder’s President Announces Ribbon Cutting of New $7 Million Headquarters in Downtown Schenectady

Schenectady, NY – October 10, 2013 – Antonio Civitella, founder, president & CEO of Transfinder Corporation, today announced that the official ribbon cutting ceremony for its new company headquarters at 440 State Street will begin at 4:00 pm on Thursday, October 10th. Following brief congratulatory remarks by state, county, city, and company representatives, the ribbon cutting will take place at exactly 4:40 pm.

According to Civitella, “2013 marks another exciting year for the company, as we celebrate our 25th year in business and have relocated to a state of the art corporate headquarters in the heart of downtown Schenectady. We have experienced tremendous growth in recent years, expanding our organization to over 70 professional employees and have received recognition as one of Inc. 5000’s fastest growing private companies each year for the past seven years. My hope is that our new headquarters, which will accommodate 125 employees, contributes to the expanding vitality of Schenectady County and the region’s Tech Valley community.”

Schenectady County Legislator Marty Finn, Chair of the Legislature’s Committee on Economic Development said, “This fast growing company could have located their beautiful new $7 million headquarters anywhere in the region. Our County economic development team worked closely with Transfinder and the City of Schenectady to keep this home-grown tech company here in Schenectady County creating new jobs and bringing new investment to our community.”

Following the ribbon cutting, Antonio Civitella and Transfinder representatives will attend the Downtown Schenectady Improvement Corporation’s 11th Annual Building Block Party, celebrating the revitalization of State Street as a center for commerce and entertainment. The event is being held at Proctors and features culinary delights from Schenectady’s many downtown restaurants. At the event, Civitella will be honored for his economic development achievements.
